Description
Guard ships are designed to protect their team from enemy missiles, as well as enhance the defences of allied ships. Guard ships feature strong defences and an enhanced Phase Shield.
When the Technologists needed to work out a fundamentally new system of direct control of a warship, they did not retool any frigates they already had. Instead, they exchanged some of their technology for the design documentation for the project "Tormentor AE". New control systems saved a significant amount of internal space and energy of the ship, which the Technologists took advantage of, using the saved resources to increase the combat capabilities of the frigate.
