General information
Faction: Federation
Class: Interceptor
Role: Covert Ops
Rank: 9
Description
Covert Ops ships are designed for sudden hit and run attacks on individual enemy ships. A special plasma web allows these ships to cause damage to the enemy without any direct contact whatsoever.
The Kite interceptor was developed by the “Outpost” shipyard in order to increase the effectiveness of private security companies in the Federation. Taking into account the experience of previous models, such as Superkite and Hawk-M, Outpost engineers developed new engines that provided lower fuel consumption and energy consumption for afterburners. Also, thanks to the new hull design and the location of the cockpit, it became easier for pilots to perform in high-speed combat at close range, without losing sight of the enemy. Later, in order to continue sales without losing profit, a lightweight Kite model was released, which was successfully adopted in the ranks of mercenaries. Rumour has it that it was on this ship that scientists from Ellydium conducted their experiments due to the superiority of Kite over its analogues. Recently, it is this interceptor that is used by most corporations in local conflicts and wars.
